| Midsun Silprocoat TM room temperature vulcanizing (RTV) silicone rubber coating on metal surfaces performs by virtue of its water repellency and excellent adhesion to unprimed and primed metal surfaces.Because the coating is highly hydrophobic, corrosive elements cannot penetrate through the silicone coating barrier into the metal surface.
The coating can eliminate or reduce:
• Environmental concerns of lead paint.
• Galvanic corrosion, from salt spray and chemical environments.
• Oil and grease contamination, millscale, rust and graphitization.
Midsun Silprocoat is a one-component system that requires no mixing and is ready for use after stirring. The liquid cures into a flexible silicone elastomer coating that resists ultraviolet rays, ozone and electrical discharges. Midsun Silprocoat™ is designed for protecting a wide range of substrates from the effects of moisture and weathering. The coating is particularly effective as a protective coating over new or existing metal roofs, fiberglass surfaces, all hot or ambient storage tanks, and structures made from various materials.
