E/Ground Stud Cover™ is a minimum 20kV phase to ground flame and arc resistant cover designed to fit a variety of straight and angle studs. Made from high temperature vulcanized silicone rubber compounded especially for the power industry. The E/Ground Stud Cover™ will insulate one of the most vulnerable animal contact areas.

Easily installed or removed with a "shot gun" or "hook" stick. E/Ground Stud Cover™ is very pliable with a robust butt-end pulling eye, made for many years of use. Many utilities have adapted the E/Ground Stud Cover™ to hold switching and tagging operational lock out indicators for added outage safety. Because of the silicone material used in our E/Ground Stud Cover™, temperature extremes from -70°F to 350°F have little to no effect on it's operation. U.V. degradation is virtually non existent as well as chemical attack keeping the utility's grounding surfaces clean and animal outage free.

The E/Ground Stud Cover™ is held closed with the exclusive standard silicone push pins found on all Midsun covers. Most other systems use tie wrap or christmas tree like devices that have inadequate U.V. resistant properties, making the cover weak and an unreliable animal mitigation protection system.

E/Ground Stud Cover™ is used by:
  • Power & Electrical Utilities
  • Electrical Contractors
  • Telecommunication Contractors
  • Cable Contractors
  • Independent Power Producers
For the purpose of:
  • Preventing tree and animal contact outages in substations and distribution systems
  • Covering and insulating grounding and ground stud points
  • Reducing oxidation and corrosion on grounding surfaces allowing for faster and better grounding contact
E/Ground Stud Cover™:
  • CAN BE LEFT IN PLACE
  • WILL NOT CHANGE COLOR OVER TIME
  • WILL NOT CHALK, BRITTLE, CRACK OR CRAZE
  • PREVENTS VOLTAGE PUNCTURING FROM PHASE-TO-GROUND OR PHASE-TO-PHASE CONTACT
  • FITS BURNDY GROUND STUDS
